the RubeLab name

Having fun tinkering with machines—but doing if for a good cause is what RubeLab is all about. We admit to a bit of inspiration from the late Rube Goldberg, the master of thinking up and then drawing a picture of crazy, funny, elaborate machines to do the most mundane of tasks. Our machines, our inventions will go to work on the not so mundane, the complex tasks required to improve the quality of our environment. It’s serious work, but we will have fun.

the RubeLab mission statement

RubeLab's mission is to assist in the development of technologies that can help solve local and global environmental problems and to serve as an economic catalyst for the community by encouraging the growth of a local, "green technology" industry.
